are a great attraction
in the spas on many of the new ships.
We have enjoyed them on RCI Radiance class
HAL Vista class, and Princess Jewel class ships.
|Most Thermal Suites feature a great view of the ocean going by, and these heated mosaic couches to relax on. This is Radiance of the Seas.||Some friends of ours refer to them as "Lizard Lounges" and love to bask. On HAL ships there is a wonderful fountain flowing to provide that relaxing background sound.|
|Another view of the HAL Suite. Those picture windows are great!||The Thermal Suites also feature saunas and steam rooms, in various combinations. Many of them have relaxation rooms or aroma rooms also. This is the sauna on HAL.|
|The Thermal Suite on Sapphire Princess has a beautiful oriental theme in the heated rooms. The steam room is especially large and hot. Sadly, there are no windows overlooking the ocean, though.||The sauna on RCI Radiance class is the one that features the ocean view from the sauna as well as from the lounge area! The Thermal Suite is co-ed which is really nice for couples, but you have to keep your swim suit on!|
|Then there are the marvelous showers! Many people never use their cabin shower because the ones in the Thermal Suite are so roomy and comfortable! Some have massaging shower heads, but my favorite is the "tropical rain."||And then -- you hit the button in the wall for the ICY MIST! It is marvelously refreshing!|
|HAL Vista Class ships also feature the hydropools. This is basically a giant indoor hot tub and is wonderful to relax in.||You can see the main pool deck through the windows, but the hydropool is never crowded and becomes a great retreat.|
|The pricing for the Thermal Suite has varied on every cruise we have been on. It usually runs $15 to $20 for a one day pass. We love it so much that we always book the full week couples pass. On HAL recently the prices were:|
We think it is well worth it!!
We like to discuss our travels.
