| When the Mariner of the Seas arrived in Los Angeles to begin her Mexican Riviera season, travel agents and special guests were invited to a "Cruise to Nowhere" over the weekend to get acquainted with this beautiful ship. She is a mega ship indeed, towering 15 stories over the water and carrying over 3500 passengers. | |
| This amazing ship has a huge central promenade where all the shops and many of the bars and snack shops are located. It includes a wine bar, an English pub, a sandwich shop, Ben and Jerry's ice cream, an Seattle Coffee espresso bar, and many shops! It is a wonderful place to just sit and watch the people go by! | |
| An interesting feature of this ship is the "promenade view" inside cabins. They actually look out over the promenade, and have the perfect viewing for the midnight parade! | |
| One of the many locales along the promenade is the Dragon's Lair nightclub. This is an entertaining theme bar. | |
| This ship is renowned for actually having an ice skating rink aboard! | |
| Ice shows are featured several times an evening, and in addition the rink is open some afternoons for free skating. | |
| The sports deck offers many activities for the athletically minded! There is a full basketball court, (surrounded with nets to keep the balls on board), an inline skating track, and the famous rock climbing wall. | |
| However, the sport we settled for was Miniature Golf! | |
| Of course there is a large casino, with all the usual games. I lost a few bucks on the roulette wheel, but this lady was there to comfort me ... All in all this is a beautiful ship, if very large and filled with passengers. We had a delightful weekend on her. | web counter code |
